Privacy Policy
Effective: September 27, 2025
MobDeals (the “Site”, “we”, “us”) collects only the data needed to process orders, deliver parcels, and improve service. This includes:
- Contact & delivery info: name, phone, delivery address, email.
- Order & payment data: order details, transaction references (payments processed by third-party gateways).
- Usage data: site interactions, pages visited, device and browser data, and IP address for fraud prevention.
How we use data: to process and ship orders, provide customer support, fraud detection, improve the site, and send order updates (SMS/WhatsApp/email).
Third parties: We share order/shipping details with couriers and suppliers (including AliExpress sellers). Payments are handled by third-party gateways — we do not store full card data on our servers.
Retention: We retain order and transactional records for business and legal purposes for a reasonable time; account/profile data until you request deletion.
Your rights: access, correction, portability, and deletion where applicable. To exercise rights contact us (see Contact section).
Terms of Service (Summary)
By using MobDeals you agree to these terms. Full terms on-site govern product availability, pricing, and user behaviour.
- Orders: placing an order is an offer to purchase. We confirm via email/SMS once processed.
- Prices & taxes: prices shown include applicable Kenyan VAT where required. Customs/duties for international shipments are customer’s responsibility where applicable.
- Supplier products: some items are fulfilled by third-party suppliers; descriptions and images are provided by suppliers. We aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee third-party content.
- Limitation of liability: we are not liable for indirect losses; our liability for direct losses is limited to the order value, subject to applicable law.
- Prohibited use: no fraud, spamming, misuse of accounts or automated scraping of site content.
We reserve the right to cancel or limit orders for regulatory, stock, or pricing errors.
Shipping & Delivery
Local (Nairobi): Same-day city deliveries — typically within 2 hours from dispatch for in-stock, local items. (Delivery time begins after order confirmation & payment.)
Countrywide (Kenya): Standard delivery within 24 hours for items shipped from our local fulfilment partners.
International / dropship items: Items shipped direct from AliExpress or international suppliers have longer lead times (varies per product). Estimated shipping times are shown on product pages where applicable.
Tracking: You’ll receive a tracking link via SMS and WhatsApp once the order ships. For local deliveries, our courier will contact you by phone.
Address changes: Request address changes immediately to customer support. Additional fees may apply if rerouting is required.
Customs & duties: For international imports, customs/duties may apply and are the buyer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
Returns & Refunds
General rule: If an item is defective, damaged, or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery for return instructions.
- Local orders: We facilitate return pickup or exchange depending on the issue.
- Dropship/international: For items shipped from suppliers, returns may require contacting the supplier and can take longer. Refunds will be processed once the item is received or the supplier authorizes a refund.
- Refund timing: Refunds are issued to the original payment method and can take 3–14 business days depending on the payment provider.
- Non-returnable: Some items (clearance, hygiene-related, or customized items) may be non-returnable — product pages will state this where applicable.
Lost parcels: If tracking indicates a lost parcel, we will investigate and either replace or refund per our lost-shipment policy.
